area 15 coming to orlando in 2024
There's so much to be excited about for 2024 in central Florida and we're going to talk about everything that we know, such as theme park updates and things that are outside of the parks. And at the end, I want to touch base on our thoughts of Epic Universe, five new lands and a theme park coming in 2025.
I want to start first at Universal Studios Florida because that's our favorite theme park and we are so excited for the Dreamworks land that is supposed to be opening sometime in 2024. Speculation is summertime so as soon as it opens we'll be going to explore everything but Universal hasn't really told us a lot.
We just know that obviously Shrek Swamp is being built which we believe is a meet and greet and the woody woodpecker coaster that used to be there is turning into trolls. And towards the back where there used to be Curious George and Fievel Goes West, that's supposed to be turning into a Kung Fu Panda area.
That's all we know so far but we can't wait to see this whole area completed. We'll keep you up to date. In this summer too, Universal is expected to have a brand new parade as well as a new lagoon show.
The lagoon shows are always fun.
They have the movies projected onto the water and it's usually really pretty with lots of different music. And as far as the parade, Universal filed a permit for a mega movie parade that is believed to have characters from the classics like Jaws, Back to the Future, E .T.
Nothing has been announced yet but hopefully they do soon.
I just know summer is going to be a great time to visit Universal. Next up, there's a couple of updates at Legoland Florida.
They had just opened Pirate River Quest last year so there's no new rides as far as that but there are a couple new attractions coming.
The first one being Ferrari Build and Race which is actually in California already but they are adding it here in Florida.
And opening this year, you can create your own race car. You can put it on a few different test tracks and even do a virtual race zone.
So we'll actually be doing an update video coming soon.
And the second update for Legoland Florida is the new Sea Life attraction.
I don't know how big it's going to be but there is a sea life over at Icon Park in Orlando which is where we got our footage from and it is supposed to open in fall of this year.

The other sea life we've been to is really neat. The kids love exploring this at Icon Park so I know it's going to be a fun addition at Legoland especially being indoors too with the heat. and a great thing to do on a rainy day.
The next new thing coming in 2024 is at SeaWorld Orlando.
They had just recently opened Pipeline, which is a surf coaster. But next up is Penguin Track opening later this year, and it's a great addition because it's only a 42 -inch height requirement, whereas some of their other coasters are 54 inches
What is the difference between AREA15 and Omega Mart?
I believe they had just recently completed the track. We saw some of it here on our last trip to SeaWorld, but it goes up to 43 miles per hour and it does have two launches, so I think it is gonna be a fun coaster.
And I believe you end with the penguins because they do have a whole penguin exhibit here.
SeaWorld also has different festivals and things going on, so stay tuned as we'll be covering those as well.
What is particle quest AREA15?
We just covered their Seven Seas Food Festival. And there's a quick water park update for both SeaWorld and Busch Gardens. First, Aquatica, which is SeaWorld's water park, is getting a new water slide, which we will definitely be going on.

We need to do an Aquatica video. And then the other water park is Busch Gardens, which is Adventure Island, and they're gonna be getting a whole new kid splash area, which will be great for the little ones.
